Product Details
  • Material: 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton
  • Size: 25 x 25cm
  • Origin: Responsibly made in India by our Fairtrade partners in Sedex-audited facilities that meet the highest social and environmental standards.
  • Packaging: Compostable and recyclable
  • End of Life: Home compostable - for best results, cut into smaller pieces before composting. (I'm currently experimenting by using our old cloths as a weed mat/deterrent).

Every Ecovask cloth is designed to perform beautifully - and return gently to the earth when its job is done.

Care Guide
  • Wash before first use. (A quick rinse in warm, soapy water in the sink is often all that’s needed.)
  • Machine wash regularly - up to 60 °C
  • Do NOT wash in the dishwasher - it’s too harsh for natural fibres. Read why →
  • Avoid fabric softeners or bleach. These can coat the fibres and reduce absorbency - the opposite of what you want in a dishcloth.
  • Line dry or tumble dry. Tumble drying helps keep cloths soft and in shape.  If line drying, fold the cloth over the line midway - don’t peg it by one corner as this can stretch it out of shape.
  • Between uses: Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry - over your tap works well or if you're not a fan of this, the Happy Sinks Magnetic Dishcloth Holder or Wunderbar products are great options to keep things tidy and airy. Never stash wet cloths in a cupboard, or a drawer.
  • If cloths ever start to smell: Soak in warm water with a splash of vinegar for an hour or two, then wash as usual.
  • End of life: 100 % home compostable - cut into smaller pieces to help them break down faster.
Why Organic Cotton (and not microfibre)?

Because clean shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.

Organic cotton is natural, renewable, and home compostable - a fibre that comes from the earth and safely returns to it.

Microfibre, by contrast, is made from synthetic materials derived from oil. With every wash, these plastics shed tiny fibres that end up in waterways and oceans.

Our GOTS-certified organic cotton cloths perform brilliantly, feel beautiful to use, and leave no trace behind.
